PD. PAL Jaya deploys three vacuum trucks to do waste suctioning on Item River that located besides Wisma Atlet. It is one of PD. PAL Jaya contributions in assisting Asian Games 2018 event.

The riverbed is blackened because the mud has settled and mixed with various pollutants for years. This blackened riverbed then makes the water turns to black and emits unpleasant smell.

"We deploy 3 vacuum trucks to suck Item River thus its pollutants and unpleasant smell can be reduced," mentioned PD. PAL Jaya's Operation and Maintenance Division Head, Ahadiat Syafari, Monday (7/23).

He explained, one vacuum truck has four cubic meters capacity. Every day, those three vacuum trucks will suck the waste twice then the waste will be disposed to Duri Kosambi waste disposal site, West Jakarta.

"This work has started since July 11. One truck is operated by two personnel," he informed.
